Historic Ottawa Beach Parks
Historic Ottawa Beach Parks include the Black Lake Boardwalks, Mt. Pisgah and the Historic Ottawa Beach Marina adjacent to Holland State Park. This site, established in 1886, is made up of 58 acres that border a number of historic cottages and was once home to the Ottawa Beach Hotel. Learn more about its fascinating history. It includes 2400 feet of Lake Macatawa shoreline and beautiful wooded dunes which are dispersed between the cottages and Holland State Park. Visitors are encouraged to make the climb up to Mt. Pisgah and enjoy the panoramic views of Lake Michigan and the surrounding areas.

Ottawa County Parks and Recreation is committed to creating a legacy of expansive, accessible, and biodiverse natural communities for all to enjoy. All parks have varying levels of accessibility. At this park you will find:
- Concrete walkways connecting the parking areas to major attractions of the park: the waterfront walkway, overlooks, and interpretive features including the renovated Pumphouse building and marina public restroom. Accessible routes include all of the waterfront walkways and decks, the separated paved path along Ottawa Beach Road, and connecting walkway to the base of the Mt. Pisgah dune climb stairs
- Fully accessible fishing docks with lowered railings or no railings at all.
- Accessible modern restrooms are provided at the Pumphouse and at the Marina
- Accessible overlooks
Motor Vehicle Permit Not Required
There are no entry or launch fees.
Dogs Allowed (on leash)
Dogs are required to be leashed (10’ max) and under control at all times and are not permitted in buildings, restrooms, picnic shelters, off-trail, or as posted. Owners must clean up after their pet and dispose of waste in a trash receptacle. Service dogs for persons with disabilities are permitted in all areas at any time.
