Emergency Operations Center (EOC)

The Ottawa County EOC provides a single, recognizable focal point for emergency or disaster management. Requests for assistance can be made to a single location where key officials can meet, assess the situation, make decisions, coordinate activities, set priorities and manage resources.

During a disaster, the EOC would be activated and representatives from Emergency Management and other disciplines involved such as fire services, hospitals and many others, assemble in the EOC. Workstations and communications equipment would be available and continuous contact would be kept with those people responding to the scene of the disaster.
