Energy & Environment

Energy & Environment

DSI supports Ottawa County’s continued economic growth by facilitating programs to restore idle, underutilized or contaminated former industrial or commercial sites and improve energy efficiency.

  • Brownfield Redevelopment
Brownfields are idle, underutilized or vacant industrial or commercial properties where redevelopment is hindered. DSI administers and works in tandem with the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority to facilitate the redevelopment of these sites.
  • Property Assessed Clean Energy
The Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program provides financing for eligible property owners to make energy-efficient and renewable energy improvements that would otherwise be cost-prohibitive.
