About the Department of Strategic Impact
Collaboratively focusing on today’s issues while planning for tomorrow
Welcome to the Department of Strategic Impact! But what do we mean by Strategic Impact? Simply put, DSI has its pulse on the community – staff focus on the needs of residents, businesses, and visitors to Ottawa County while pursuing solutions to complex problems and planning for the future.
On any given day, DSI staff work on a multitude of initiatives that impact the lives of the citizens they serve, including such diverse challenges such as groundwater protection, farmland preservation, and high-speed internet service.
Our skilled staff also provide evaluation and data support for long-term projects and build evaluation capacity for other County departments, local units, municipalities, and local nonprofits.
