Ottawa County Department of Veterans Services is committed to providing accurate, efficient services and timely information to Veterans and their families. We will advocate for Veterans and cultivate purposeful community partnerships.

The Department of Veterans Services was established under PA 192 of 1953 in July of 2011 and is funded by Ottawa County General Funds. The department assists with:

• Service-connected disability claims
• Applying for VA non-service-connected pensions
• Medical transportation
• County and federal burial benefits
• Retrieving military service records
• Working with social services and government agencies
• Information, referrals, and support services.
