Purchasing

Ottawa County Purchasing is a division of the Fiscal Services Department. Purchasing’s primary responsibility is to oversee the procurement of goods and services for the departments of the County in a timely and cost-effective manner. Purchasing endeavors to maximize the value of funds expended and to provide safeguards for maintaining a procurement system of quality and integrity.

The County is committed to excellence and the delivery of cost-effective services that properly respect value of public tax dollars. To accomplish these objectives, the County engages in purchasing activities that are fair, open, and equitable. The County implements procedures designed to support and maintain an efficient procurement system of cross-departmental collaboration, innovation, quality, and integrity for all Ottawa Funded Units.

Later this year, the County will be transitioning to a new eProcurement solution for publishing solicitations and receiving vendor responses. Register your free account now to receive email notifications for the County’s Bid/RFP opportunities. Notifications will begin once the County goes live with this software. Our new eProcurement Portal will allow you to:

  • Register to bid plus subscribe to receive notifications of future opportunities.
  • Follow updates to existing solicitations so that you can receive amendments and addenda automatically.
  • Submit questions and receive answers for open solicitations.
  • Receive guidance through your response to ensure submissions have been accurately completed.
  • See all formal bid opportunities issued by the County in one location.
